Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) organized the 54th edition of the IHGF from 14th October to 18th October 2022 at the India Expo Mart Centre, Greater Noida. Secretary, Ministry of Textiles Mr. U.P. Singh, I.A.S. inaugurated the IHGF Delhi Fair and was graced by Mr. Raj K. Malhotra, Chairman, EPCH, Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General, EPCH.
The fair was brimming with innovation, freshness and positive energy. The display was spread out in 15 expansive halls. BAA got the booth at the same location as last show. BAA booths location is prime and presentable to the visitors and easily accessible for our members. The BAA Booth was colorful this time and we hope to make few more changes by next show.
This show featured over 3000 exhibitors for home, lifestyle, fashions, textiles and furniture who were displayed their products in 12 well defined categories. In this fair main focus amongst visitors were sustainable products. On first day the footfall was huge at the show. Each hall aisles were full of buyers. BAA booth were crowded by the visitors, overseas buyers and vendors with their queries which was perfectly handled by our representative and so many queries of membership were well answered.
Few BAA members volunteered themselves to man our booth at the show at regular intervals. This gesture was really appreciable and helped the team trade fair throughout the show.
There was an interactive session organized by BAA during the show, topics for the session was MAKE IN INDIA & LOCAL TO GLOBAL, we feel more such discussion between both communities require to work on such an important matter.
BAA honored the seniors of team EPCH Including Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General EPCH, Shri Raj Kumar Malhotra, Chairman EPCH, Mr. R.K. Verma, Mr. Awadesh Agarwal and others with small memento.
An enthusiastic bunch of BAA members gathered together at board room for the BAA’S first merchandise launch, in the presence of honorable Dr. Rakesh Kumar, DG EPCH, Mr. Raj Kumar Malhotra, Chairperson Of EPCH, Mr.Vishal Dhingra, Chairperson BAA and everyone lauded the launch and congratulated the governing body for the same.
BAA members appreciated the effort and work of our committees who were working hard every day to make this association wonderful and successful. Every member liked the t-shirt and they wore it and took pictures with full of joy.
Our members gathered at the booth each day for a group photograph. And as always, the entire show was a great success for exhibitors, Buying Consultants and other visitors. Everyone could find their chip.
Supporting events like trend forecasts, panel discussions, knowledge seminars, ramp presentations and award were also organized during the show. IHGF Delhi Fair was five day show and all five days were fully packed by the visitors and buyers. It looked like there was a festival season is happening.
