JHEA organised a very successful event on the 1st of Sept addressing Oppurtunity for Indian Exporters – Overseas Sourcing, besides launching a mobile App and doing a curtain raiser for a domestic trade show.
Mr. Manish Purohit, the General Secretary of JHEA requested BAA guests to inaugurate the event with the diya lighting ceremony and Ganesh vandana. The diya was lit by Ms. Anchal Kansal (General Secretary BAA), Shri Mahaveer Chopra (General Secretary Laghu Udyog) Bharati), and Mr. Sumit Chhabra (Vice Chairman BAA).
Mr. Gajendra Tripathi (CEO Tactilesense Technologies Pvt. Ltd.) introduced the mobile app and its various features. The app has been launched by JHEA for the benefits of its member exporters wherein they can maintain product SKUs on the app and also send quotations very esasily. Mr. Munesh Jadoun (CEO & Founder Znet Uncomplicating Bytes) shared the importance of Cloud Computing in todays date, specially for the exporters.
Mr Purohit invited Mr Bharat Dinesh, President JHEA to share his thoughts. Mr Dinesh welcomed all members of BAA and JHEA and shared his earlier conversation with Mrs Christine E Rai to boost trade and relations between the two Associations. He shared the recent issue of Sheesham wood export wherein for Vriksh certification, w.e.f 1st Sept 2018, exporters would need to procure all documents from the base level of procurement. He aslo shared with member exporters that JHEA has been in discussion with EPCH to add further space for furniture showcase during the show. There is a the possibility/discussion about holding the Furniture show seprately in September closer to Shanghai Furniture show.
There after felicitations were done for all BAA members present at the event including Mr. Sumit Chhabra (Vice Chairman, BAA), Ms. Anchal Kansal (General Secretary, BAA), Mr. Manoj Rana, Mr. Michael Vinod & Mr. Deepak Joshi (Governing Body Members, BAA) Mr. Priyankar Lahoti & Mr. Pushpender Singh from BAA, Shri Mahaveer Chopra (General Secretary, Laghu Udyog Bharati) and Ms. Vandana Narang (Director of NIFT).
Mr Purohit invited Ms. Anchal Kansal to introduce the Buying Agents Association to the members of JHEA . She spoke about the formation and the reasons why BAA was formed in 2016 under the Chairmanship of Mr Rakesh Kumar. She also shared that BAA plans to tie up with other Associations and work towards training and development and also share the Best Practises in the
industry, that are needed in order to improve trade from India and to reduce the gap between the East and the West.
She shared about the opportunities that are coming up for the Indian export market specifically for furniture from India, internationally and domestically. Addressing the younger generation in the industry, she spoke about the keys of business success – Right Product, Right Market and Right Delivery. She emphasized on the need for innovation, technology and process to take Indian exports industry to the next level and leverage on the growing demands internationally. She ended her note requesting JHEA and its members to join hands at all levels to work together with BAA and its members and boost trade.
The closing note was given by Mr. Rishi Raj Singhvi, thanking all members of BAA , JHEA and other members present. The event was followed by dinner and lots of interesting conversations regarding industry issues and the needs of the industry.
